THE WELCOME PROGRAMME is a network of projects for rough sleepers and vulnerably housed people in Central London. The Programme is managed by Jon-Jon Hilton and consists of the following services that aim to support people on their journey out of homelessness.
1.The Drop-in – A resource hub focused on providing relief and advice for people currently street homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We offer free food, showers, washing facilities, housing referrals and other practical support in a welcoming and friendly environment. We provide referrals into winter shelters between November – April.
2 . Podiatrist (Foot doctor) – A specialist podiatrist for homeless people run by the London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.
3. Pop-up Clinic: A ‘Street Clinic’ offering primary health care for Westminster based rough sleepers.
4. RoadMap Project – Following a one-one assessment, we offer customised support and advice services to help rough sleepers navigate a pathway out of homelessness. This includes a grant that can support clients with travel expenses, uniform for work or emergency accommodation.
5. Community Feast – A monthly lunch event run in partnership with homeless people and members of the local community. This focuses on building relationships with our homeless guests as well as equipping the local and wider community with training and awareness of homelessness.
